Previously at Meso Fusion Media, we documented a public relations blunder from Liz Cheney. That was childs play. Liz Cheney just hit Roseanne Barr drunk tweeting on the Richter Scale of What Were You Thinking?!?! She had the audacity to say that a group of Native Americans is destroying our way of life. Yes, I fact checked it. I didn’t believe it myself at first. However, here it is.
“The court-ordered relisting of the grizzly was not based on science or facts, but was rather the result of excessive litigation pursued by radical environmentalists intent on destroying our Western way of life,”
I’m not a Native American. Hence, I don’t want to speak for them. I’m pretty sure I could though.
I’m sorry we escaped genocide and survived long enough to keep your “western way of life” from killing off the grizzlies too. Perhaps you can round them all up and force them into a zoo or something more suitable to your culture.
Native Americans Destroying Our Way Of Life
This is pretty bad. I’ll bet if we had undocumented Americans migrate to Mexico with an Army Captain then declare it a Republic, give the territory to the U.S., then had the Navy land and plant a flag she would call the Mexicans “illegal immigrants” when they tried to get back on their land. Oh, wait! That happened!
This little gem of irony isn’t lost on me. That republic I mentioned that we set up in California? It was the Bear Flag Republic. These natives actually did us a solid by preserving the mascot we use when stealing land from brown people. Perhaps the Native Americans know a thing or two about that, huh?
In defense of Liz Cheney.
I’m embarrassed to admit it at the moment, but I actually like Liz Cheney. However, this is the dumbest political gaffe I’ve seen in a covfefe. Hence, for the sake of argument, I’m going to assume that she didn’t realize that the plaintiffs were a native group? If she did, shame on her.
The real problem here isn’t Native Americans destroying our way of life. It’s Republican Americans destroying our priorities. Why does everything have to be “an invasion” or “the end of our country” or “destroying our way of life”? I was born and raised in the United States. No part of my way of life is defined by grizzly bears. Call me overly optimistic, but I’m pretty sure we’ll survive. Or, we’ll at least know how to pinpoint exactly where it all fell apart. Everything was fine until they saved those damn grizzly bears.
